It was always you

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here from donnaisplayingpaper and I have a Valentine’s card for you today. I love to give Valentine’s cards, and I really love pink and red together on cards too. Here’s one that I’ve made using some older Pink and Main supplies. Perhaps you already have them in your stash?

The bakctound paper comes from a set called Year Round Dots and Stripes. I chose dots for today’s card. Next up, I have used a sheet of white card and the Many Hearts Embossing folder. Did you notice the sweet detail of the occasional different heart? I added some extra hearts stamped using the Seasonal Truck Stamp Set and cut with the matching dies. These dies could have been used to cut pink and red paper instead – but today I stamped. I also added some gel pen highlights.

The feature image is from the same Seasonal Truck Stamp Set. This truck set can carry loads for all different holidays and seasons, but today I went with the Valentine’s hearts. I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and coloured the image with some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The colours blended at the bottom of the truck to look like rust which was actually unintended, but I loved the look so I let it dry like that!

The sentiment comes from a sweet sentiment stamp set called My Heart Smile. I stamped it and cut it out with the matching dies, cutting another in pink to work as a drop shadow. I popped the truck and its load up with foam tape, and glued the individual hearts flat to complete the card.

Until next time, may you have the chance to be with those you love.

Blessings,

Donna
