Inspiration can come from anywhere!

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. I’ve arrived safely in my hometown in country Australia after two weeks quarantined in a hotel room, and a 15 hour car trip. Phew!!! And now… we’re in lockdown!!!! Luckily within my 5km allowed zone we have a beautiful beach, which we’re planning on making the most of.

Anyway, I have a card for you today that uses a button wall of Jennifer McGuire’s as inspiration. I’ve seen pictures of her lovely rainbow button panel in her craft space, and when I saw the beautiful pearls in the recent Pink and Main release, I knew this was what I wanted to make.

The main feature of this card is a white cardstock panel which measures about an inch wide by 4 1/2 inches long. I added strong double sided tape to this whole panel, and then added some pearls which came from both the Rainbow Pearls pack and the Pastel Pearls pack. I used a mix of sizes of pearls so that I could fill in all the spaces, and I allowed the pearls to spill over the edges of the panel too. I then cut a black panel just a smidge bigger than my original white card, to frame the piece.

My background panel was cut using the Stitched Rectangles 1 dies, using the second largest die. I stamped my sentiment from the KSue Friendship 1 stamp set in black, then mounted the beaded panel to the background. I popped the whole panel up with foam tape, so this card has a ton of dimension.

This next photo shows the dimension of the card. It also shows you my camera lens and paneled ceilings reflected in each of the Pearls!

This was a really fun card to make, and I certainly have plenty of pearls left over for more! Scattered in the photo below you can also see some of the Unicorn Pearls (set 2) These fun pearls have two or more colours on them, and I’ve been really enjoying using these on cards too!

I hope that you are having a wonderful day, and that you are staying safe and well. Until next time, may your days be full of rainbows.

Blessings

Donna
