I Will Always Be-Leaf In You

Hi Friends!! This is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am back today with this really sweet and happy fall card. I fell in instant love with this sweet little mouse from the Fall Snowglobe Scenes Stamp Set. I wanted to share how I used him without the snow globe dies to create a really fun and pretty quick card. I started out this whole project by stamping out the mouse’s scene and three of the extra leaves with alcohol friendly ink. I used Copic markers to color in the scene and cut everything out with the coordinating die set. I wanted to create a background that was bright and cheerful but still felt like fall.

I searched though my paper stash and decided that The Park card stock and this orange and white pattern from the Pumpkin Season Pattern Paper Pack would make an amazing pair. I cut a piece of the orange pattern paper to be 5.25 in x 1.25 in and set it aside. I cut a sheet of The Park Card Stock and cut it down to be 5.25 in x 4 in then I ran it through my die cut machine with the Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder. I adhered the orange paper strip on the left side and then attached that whole panel to a side folding, A2 card base. I love the thin white boarder that this gives the card and I think it helps to keep the whole thing fresh and light. I wanted a more solid base layer to build our little scene on so I grabbed one of the Layered Oval Dies and used to cut an oval from Pebble Card Stock. I adhered that flat to the center of the card panel and then started laying out the scene images.

I decided to place the scene so that the bottom grass line ran from edge to edge of the oval which left the perfect spot to stamp a sentiment. I am a sucker for a good pun sentiment so stamped the “I be-leaf in you” at the bottom in black in. I decided to add the pumpkin to the end of the fence and scatter the little leaves around like they are blowing in the wind. I skipped sparkle this time because I thought this scene was sweet enough to stand on its own. I hope you are feeling ready to jump into fall crafting and make a sweet card too!
