I want to Shell-ebrate you!

Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and today I am sharing a clean and simple Copic colored card inspired some watercolor cards I made Live last week. If you have been able to come hang out with me during a live, I hope you had fun and if you haven’t been able to yet, I hope you can soon. We used an emboss resist watercolor technique last week with the Floral Shells Stamp set and the Watercolor Gems Powders but I really wanted to try the same card with Copic coloring as well. I started out by stamping one of the floral shells with Asphalt Ink and setting it aside to dry for a few minutes.

I folded an A2 side folding card base and trimmed down a panel of Pebble card stock by an inch on each side (4.5 in x 3.25 in) for the card front. I heat embossed the sentiment directly onto it with Frosting Embossing Powder and then added the card stock flat to the card base with EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue. Then it was time to color my image.

For the watercolor images, I used a combination of Latte and Milky Way so I wanted to make sure that my marker colored seashell still had that warmer/creamy feeling. I also fell in love with the teal and purple combination that was suggested while we were live so I decided to recreate that with the markers as well. I used the coordinating die to cut out my image and added some Foam Tape to the back. I added it to the card and just like that, this clean and simple card was complete. I had a lot of fun practicing my self control with these cards and I hope you will feel inspired to try something different this month!
