Hugs…Warmest Wishes

Hello, friends and happy Friday!! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!! It’s going to be bitterly cold here in MO, so I’ll be hibernating in my craft room all weekend!! Sounds like the perfect weekend to me!!

Brenda from MyPaperCutCreations.com here with a sweet monochromatic card that is perfect to let someone know that you’re thinking of them!! It includes lots of layers and an absolutely adorable penguin!! Does it get any better?!?

I started by stamping the darling penguin from the Cup of Good Cheer Stamp Set onto Ice Rink cardstock using Asphalt ink. I colored it with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I added Touch of Gloss to the whipped cream and a dot the the center of the snowflake on the mug, then sprinkled on Snow Drift Chunky Glitter for a little sparkle and set it aside to dry.

I layered up two background dies for the background! I think this is the first time that I’ve ever combined two background cover dies on the same card. I just thought they went together so well!! I die-cut the Polka Hearts Cover Die from Ice Rink cardstock and the Heart Spotlight Cover Die from Salon cardstock. I layered them together over an A2 panel of pink polka dot pattern paper from the Year Round Dots & Stripes Paper Pack.

The Big Hugs Die Set was cut from Dress Shop and Ice Rink cardstock. They were layered and adhered together with liquid glue. “Warmest wishes” is from the Cup of Good Cheer Stamp Set. It was stamped onto Ice Rink cardstock with Dress Shop ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from white cardstock, layered them behind the stamped sentiment and adhered it with liquid glue. The cute little penguin was popped up with foam tape. I also colored one of the left over hearts from the Polka Hearts Cover Die with Copics and added it to the hand of the penguin with a tiny bit of foam tape.

That’s it for me today!! I hope this card brightens your day a bit!! Have a wonderful weekend, friends!!

Brenda
