Hoppy hoppy birthday!

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I’m bringing you the first shaker card I’ve made in AGES!!! I’m not sure why they dropped off my radar, but they’re back! Today we have the cutest little frog, just about to make a big splash!

The images on this card – the frog, dragonfly and and rushes – all come from the same stamp set, called Ribbit. I stamped the images in Copic friendly ink, then cut them out with the matching Ribbit Dies, before colouring them with my Copics. I then put these aside while I got on with the construction of the card .

The shaker window was cut using the Mod Stitched Rectangles dies for the window, and two of these Mod Stitched Rectangles taped together to cut the frame from the lime green in the Year Round Dots and Stripes paper pack. I glued the rushes to the inside of the shaker window, and the frog and dragonfly to the outside. I used the Cool Jellies Gems to fill the shaker. These have a little bit of height, so I used two layers of foam tape. I decided that I wanted all the gems facing the right way, so I started flipping them, tiddlywinks style! What might have been quite a big job ended up being a lot of fun!

I love the fun sentiment, and the way it matches with the cheeky fun look on this frog’s face! I hope you’ve enjoyed this card, and that you’ll get some time to get crafty this weekend.

Blessings,
Donna
