Hope your Day is Magical

Hello Pink and Main Friends. It’s Donna here. I have a simple-to-make card to share with you today that features the new Confetti Embossing folder that was just released today. You can check out the whole new release here.

To make the background, I first blended inks onto a piece of white card, using a mauve, a blue and a green at the top. I used my Ergonomic Blending Brush, of course! I was chatting about this with a friend the other day and I realized that I have used the same blender brush since they first came out! I now have one Mini Blending Brush as well, which is good for blending smaller areas, but my original is still going strong! I then ran that piece of card through my die cutting machine with the Confetti Embossing folder.

I then ran inks very lightly over the raised stars and shapes, using the one inch sized cubes. When using the inks ‘straight’ from the cube, the colours are much stronger than when you blend them, so I chose colours that were about three shades lighter for this step. You can see that they still look stronger than the blended inks!

The sentiment comes from the Magical stamp and Magical die sets. I used a piece of Holographic paper from the Holographic Set 1 paper pack for the background, and cut the word from some black glitter paper which you can get in either the Metallics Glitter paper or the Fall Glitter paper pack, depending on what other colours you’re likely to use. I’ve take photos from several different angles so you can see the changes of colour in the holographic paper.

The little gnome comes from the Lucky Gnomes stamp set. I coloured this with pencil, and then added a layer of glitter on top of the hat and dress, using my Wink of Stella pen. I then cut it out using the matching Lucky Gnomes die.

The final touch were some glitter enamel dots from the Hooray enamel dots pack. These are part of today’s new release.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this cute card, and a look at this lovely new embossing folder. Until next time, stay safe my friends.

Blessings,

Donna
