Hey hey, Katie here today! Plenty of reason to celebrate lately, particularly if you picked up the latest P&M release. There are so many fun and unique products, I truly love them all.
Today I have a fun card for you featuring the darling snail from the new All About You Stamp and Coordinating Die sets. This guy/gal is so much fun. But then, I am much more of a snail person than a slug person. We even have debates in my house, my daughter and I are team snail while my husband is team slug. I am not sure what he sees in slugs, they are just homeless balls of snot. LOL. At least snails come with mobile homes!
Anyhoo, here is how I made today’s card. I started by stamping the image and coloring with my Copics. I used quite a few Copics and neglected to write them all down, but you still get the gist with that brilliant rainbow shell. After that I used the die set to cut my snail out and set aside. On a 4 X 5.25 sheet of white, I used my new Confetti Stencil with my Ergo Blending Brushes and Distress Oxides for the background and then mounted this on a Dress Shop Cardstock base with my EZ Tear Tape. Next, I mounted my image using my Foam tape. I added some color to the base for slime and then added a teensy bit of Peaches and Cream Embossing Powder to it for sparkle. Next, I used some little scraps of various cardstock with my new Balloon Alpha Dies to create the “HOORAY” sentiment balloons. I added white highlights, black strings and popped them up with foam. Then I added the let’s celebrate to the card as well.
