Hi! How Are You?

Good morning! So how has your week been? I’m really struggling with the recent time change…I don’t really appreciate losing an hour and the older I get the worse it seems to be, haha! Plus, it’s Friday the 13th. I’m not an overly superstitious person but there’s a small part of me that would rather not tempt fate, so I think I’ll stay close to home.

I’ve created, what I think, is a super cute “hello” card. I decided to play with the Petals Stencil today.

This colour block effect is very easy to achieve. I place the stencil on a white card panel. I cut a sheet of printer paper down into quarters. I placed one piece to mask off one vertical side, then laid the other paper mask at the halfway point horizontally. This left me with one quarter of the stencil showing.

I used 2 different shades of blue and green inks along with the awesome Ergonomic Blending Brush. Once you have the first portion blended, it’s very easy to line up the paper masks and continue.

The fun “hi” sentiment comes from the Pull and Flip Die Set. You may remember that I used some dies on my last card. This set is full of bits and pieces that can be used to enhance many card projects. I ink blended some pink ink onto some white cardstock before cutting out the hi. I also cut it from white craft foam. To finish the sentiment off, I used the “whats new” from the Spring Sentiments Stamp set and stamped it onto one of the Sentiment Strip Dies.

I adhered the panel to a white card base and decided to add a bit of texture with some white gel pen details which I thought looked so cute!

I finished the card off with a few clear sequins and a bit of glitter pen to the “hi”.

Thank you so much for stopping by this morning! I hope you have a wonderful day and fantastic weekend!

Laurie
