Happy Easter Card!

Good morning and happy Saturday! Laurie with you this morning to share a fun, colourful easter card using brand new goodies from the P&M shop!

I had a lot of fun with this one! Although, it wasn’t super quick to make it was super easy to do! I used only the solid egg stamp from the Easter Eggs Stamp Set to create this colourful background. I used 2 shades of each colour to get the shaded effect. I did use my stamp positioning tool as this required double stamping. I inked the stamp up with the lighter shade and stamped. I then dabbed the darker shade along the bottom of the egg and d removed a bit of excess, in hopes to not get a defined line. Then stamped again. In some cases, I did ink it up again in the lighter shade to get a bit more blending.

For the most part, I got fairly good stamping results but a few of the eggs did end up having a definite “line” between the shades ie: the purple egg on the left 🙂

I stamped the sentiment onto a die cut square from the Pull and Flip Die Set. It fit the sentiment perfectly. This die set also has that sweet scalloped square die that I used on a piece of scrap vellum. These squares work perfectly together!

I was playing with the Easter Eggs Stencil earlier which I had set off to the side. I thought it would be cute to fussy cut some of the eggs out and pop them up on the sentiment!

I added a bit of white gel pen details to the tiny eggs and some clear sequins for a bit of shine. You can see in the background that I was playing with some of the other cute eggs in the Easter Eggs Stamp set. I adore the rainbow one and will have to use it on another project soon!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic weekend!

Laurie
