Hey everyone!!! Happy Release Day!!! It’s Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook and I’ve got a really fun card featuring 3 new products available in the shop right now! We’re playing with the new My Vote stamps and dies, Slimline Sayings 1 stamps and the awesome Sunburst Slimline die.
I started by stamping my images from My Vote on a 3 inch wide piece of cardstock. Then I colored them all with my copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out with my amazing Mini Maker die cutting machine.
This little machine is so awesome and convenient to have on my desk, ready to go! I never knew how handy one of these little machines would be and I haven’t even traveled with it yet. That’s going to amazing in a whole new way too!
But, I digress. Next, I die cut the Sunburst Slimline die from white, red, blue, yellow and purple cardstock. I used liquid glue to adhere my white frame to a card base and then fit the different colored inserts where I wanted them. Bonus, now I have a bunch of these ready to go to make other fun cards later on too!
I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from Slimline Sayings 1 on vellum with black embossing powder and got everything ready for assembly. I added foam squares to the back of the elephant and star banners. Using my images as guides, I used liquid glue to adhere the balloons down, then added the star banners and finally stuck my elephant to the sentiment banner. Last, I added liquid glue to the back of the sentiment banner, hiding it behind the embossing and the elephant. I put acrylic blocks on this portion for a while and came back later for finishing touches.
For those, I added glossy accents to the elephant cheek, tusk and toes and part of the banner on his rump. I also added glossy accents to the star banners. However, all the other stars have crushed pineapple Stickles on them. I also used the black glaze pen on the elephant’s eye.
I’m super happy with how this fun card turned out and that I was able to show you fun ways to use some of the amazing, new products available in the Pink & Main shop right now!
