Gobble Gobble

Happy Tuesday! Katie here again with a fun card for fall and Thanksgiving. This features an older set coupled with a newer one.

Here is how I made this one. I started by stamping the pie from the new Sweetie Pie Stamp set. Then, I masked it off and stamped the one of the turkey’s from Turkey Time, Stamp Set to make it look as if the turkey was baking a pie. I colored the images and opted to make my pie filling red, as if it was cherry. My husband likes cherry pie, but it is not for me. So I used YG17, YG25, YG03, E15, E13, E11, E21, YR09, YR04, YR02, C1, R37, R35, R14, Y15, Y13, Y11, BG49, BG45, BG15. I fussy cut the images out and then set them aside. Next, I used some paper from the two paper packs, Home Sweet Home and Falling for You paper pad, some cut into strips. I mounted these with EZ Tear tape and put the Pebble Cardstock behind. I mounted all my images using foam tape. I decided I needed some pie steam, so I used the steam stamp from the Sweetie Pie set and cut it out with the Sweetie Pie Die Set. I also stamped a few pumpkins to reinforce the thanksgiving feel.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I stamped the sentiment along the top left.

Well, what do you think? I think the turkey makes a tasty looking pie, even if it is cherry. This is my way of wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving week. Enjoy spending time with family and friends and I am grateful to you for visiting.
