Hey friends! It’s Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook today sharing this really sweet slimline “there for you” card. I took some images from a couple of sets and made it even more custom with a sentiment from yet another set.
I started today’s card by laying out the stamps on a slimline size panel to see what I could get to fix in my scene. Then I stamped the images, colored them with my copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Next, I blended distress oxide inks on two different panels. One color scheme was squeezed lemonade and spiced marmalade, while the other was mowed lawn, tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon. I spritzed both panels with water and flicked some watered down spiced marmalade on the lighter panel and mermaid lagoon on the blue panel.
Next, I ran the yellow/orange panel through the die cutter with the slim line plaid die and then adhered it with liquid glue to the blue panel. I glued this to a white card base and moved on to finishing the final placement of my images.
Those were adhered with a combo of liquid glue and foam squares. All of the foliage and the beehive are glued directly to the card front. The bees and bears are popped up on foam squares.
For my sentiment, I dug through my stash and found one I liked in the Sunny Greetings stamp set. The coordinating die set comes with sentiment strips in it, so I stamped the sentiment and used a strip to die cut it out. I adhered it with a couple of foam strips.
Moving on to finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the bear’s noses and flower centers. Then I came back with star dust Stickles on the bee’s wings.
Isn’t this scene just too cute!?! I love these bears and was happy to ink them up again!
