For the Fall Birthday Queens

Hi friends, this is Caitlin and today I am sharing a fun, fall birthday card. It has been a little while since I made a mini slimline and they always make me happy so I that was the first design choice I made, even before the topic lol. Once I knew I wanted to work with the 3.5 in x 6 in dimensions, I grabbed my Mod Stitched Mini Slim Die Set and started to look through my stamps. I realized I never got to use all of the images from the S’more Fun Stamp Set that came out last fall and this little marshmallow playing in the leaves was too cute!

I stamped out the image and set it aside to dry for a few minutes while I looked for pattern paper to inspire my color scheme. I decided on the stripes from the Pumpkin Season 6×6 Paper Pack and also grabbed a larger scrap of Pebble Card Stock for an added panel. I used the medium sized Mod Die to cut the Pebble Card Stock and used Construction Ink to stamp both sizes of the little pumpkin images all over, careful to spin them around a little to get a custom pattern paper feel.

I used Copic Sketch Markers to color in my main image, matching my leaves as close as I could to the stripe colors in my paper and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I made a mini slimline card base with Ice Rink Card Stock measuring 7 in x 6 in and scoring at 3.5 in and then added the striped paper and Pebble layers with EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue. I decided to stamp the sentiment onto another scrap of Pebble Card Stock with Lakeside Ink and used the coordinating to cut that out as well. Then I popped up the image and the sentiment with foam tape for added dimension. The last step was bring in some extra shine with the oranges from the Floral Pumpkin Glitter Enamel Dots set.
