Floral sneak peek

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. I’m so excited about the latest release because it contains so much Japanese goodness! Living in Tokyo, it’s nice to have stamps that are relevant to my life. Today’s card features some cherry blossoms. It’s not cherry blossom time here yet; that happens in March where I live. (March 22ish, to be precise- it hardly changes more than a few days) However, I saw my first plum blossom when I was out walking this week, so the first signs of Spring are here.

Today’s card uses several of the items from the new release. All of these products will be available from January 20th. Let’s start at the back and work our way forward, shall we? The background paper is from a set called All Occasions Florals, and it is gorgeous. One side has multicoloured small floral images, and the reverse side of each paper is a single coloured piece with a delicate print. I’ve used one of these in the back of my card.

Next, the white layer is cut with an older stitched rectangle die – the most used die in my whole craft space! The centre oval is cut using a new layered oval die set that is going to be released on the 20th.

The main image and the sentiment come from a lovely large stamp set, perfect for slimline cards called Cherry Blossom. I’ve cut the top and bottom off the branch here to fit it onto a regular card. I stamped the image in alcohol marker safe ink and coloured the image with my Copics.

Lastly, the enamel dots, which have just a little glitter in them are perfectly matched to the colours of the paper pack, so they make a perfect pair. I’ve used just a few purple dots here – I may or may not be hoarding them!

I’m already making more cards to share with you from this release! I’m really excited about it actually. Until next time, stay safe.

Blessings

Donna
