Floral Notes

Hello Pink and Main friends. I hope you are safe and well, and in a calm state of mind. It’s Donna here, and I have a floral card to share with you today that I hope will lift everybody’s spirits and provide some inspiration.

I first created my feature element. I used one of the beautiful Floral Corners Dies and cut this out of white card. I then glued this to a piece of vellum and carefully cut around the edge of the design.

The frames were made using three of the rectangles in the Stitched Rectangles 1 set. I taped these together neatly and then ran them through my die cutting machine with a piece of the patterned paper from the Fantastic Florals Paper Pad.

I positioned the frames on my card base to work out where to stamp my sentiment which comes from the Terrariums stamp set and is stamped in black.

I then got to constructing the card. The outer frame is stuck directly to the card base. The inner frame has foam tape behind it for some dimension. There are a few smaller pieces of foam tape on the floral element in the middle, so that it doesn’t sag. I glued the outer edges of the flowers to the frame directly, and that completed the card.

Until next time, may your days be full of beauty, where ever you can find it.

Blessings,

Donna

  1. So beautiful! Would it work to diecut the vellum from the floral die cut instead of fussy cutting around the edges? My fussy cutting is not great. Thank you.
