Eat, Sleep, Beach, Repeat

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and as you read this, we’re having a well earned break in the mountains in the west of Japan. We’re keeping away from others, so a secluded week was a good option for getting away from the Tokyo heat.

I have a card today that features the new Pink and Main release stamp Beach Unicorn, as well as some stamps from an older set to complete the scene.

Let’s start with the background and work our way forward! I placed a piece of Post-it tape across a white piece of cardstock to create the horizon. I first blended below the line with a sandy yellow ink and Pink and Main’s Ergonomic Blending Brush I then blended above the line, using pink. purple and then dusky blue, keeping the main blending on the left where the tree would sit, and leaving the side where the sentiment was to go a little lighter.I then added some stars to the sky with white gel pen, some as spots, and some as small crosses.

Next I stamped my images – the palm tree from the Beach Unicorn set, and some shells from the Fantastic Stamp set in Copic Friendly ink and coloured them with my Copic markers. I cut the tree and shells out with the matching dies, and laid them onto my base to work out exactly where to stamp the sentiment. Once the sentiment was stamped, I cut the whole panel using the A2 layered rectangles die.

Lastly, I stuck everything down, using a mix of glue and foam tape, and laid the white panel onto a blue card base.

This is such a restful card. I hope you are able to safely go to the beach wherever you are at the moment.

Until next time, may your days be as restful as the scene on this card!

Blessings

Donna
