Easter Easel Cards

Happy Friday Everyone!

It’s Rachelle from Red Cre8s with two fun Easter easel cards for you! (Say that three times fast!) : ) Both cards use images from the new “Love Ewe” Stamp/Die Set in combination with a lot of other great Pink and Main products!

I wanted to create oval-shaped easel cards and began by making my base from the largest size in the “Layered Oval Dies” Set. I raised the die just over the top fold to make the card base and scored the front in half for the easel function.

The bunny and chick were selectively stamped, water colored and die cut. The same large oval die cut was used to cut a piece of pattern paper from the NEW “Happy” Pad and backed with a blank oval for strength. I wanted the chick to be peeping out from a cracked pattern paper eggshell and used one of the smaller ovals with a fussy cut edge. I glued a medium-sized pattern paper oval in dark rose to my base, adhered the chick into place, popped the cracked eggshell on top with foam tape and added a few light green pearls. The sentiment from the “Spring Sentiments” Set was stamped, die cut with a “Sentiment Strip Die” and popped up with a double layer of foam tape on the inside to create the easel stop. I placed Scor-Tape just on the bottom half of the scored card front and pressed the finished chick panel on top. I love the way these pattern papers work together in this design and that little Easter chick is so adorable!

The bunny card was designed in a similar way but started with a background I stenciled with the “Petite Petals” pattern. I used plain card stock for my middle layer on this card front and a small floral pattern from the “All Occasion Florals” Pad for my grass layer, which matched my bunny’s carrots! This sentiment is from the New “Love Ewe” Set and is perfect with this image!

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you have a great weekend! Take care and stay safe! Rachelle
