Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. It seems like just yesterday that we were back in Australia celebrating Christmas, and here we are – April in Japan, getting ready for Easter! I’ve made a lovely soft card to share with you today.
The sweet little eggs on this card come from the Easter Greetings stamp set. Interestingly, the greeting comes from a different set! I used Kraft card stock, and rubbed my anti static tool over the whole panel before stamping , because I didn’t want any extra gold sparkle between the eggs. Then, I stamped the eggs in a random pattern in clear embossing ink, and heat embossed them in gold. I then cut the panel out using the largest Stitched Rectangles 2 die.
I coloured the eggs using watercolour brush markers of various brands. Although this is not watercolour paper, the watercolour brushes aren’t so wet that they warp the paper. I chose all my very palest markers, and just mix and matched the colours. The sentiment comes from a stamp set called Spring Sayings. This set has 13 different spring and Easter sayings with really gorgeous fonts. I really like the size and font mix of these sentiments. I again stamped this and heat embossed in gold onto Kraft card, then I popped this up with a small white border so that it would stand out from the background.
That’s all for today’s card. It’s a simple one to make, and the colouring is the sort of thing you can do while chatting or watching TV, or even while out and about, so it’s a nice one to mass produce.
Until next time, may your days be peaceful
Blessings,
