December 2022 Sneak Peek Hello Winter

Hi Friends! This is Caitlin and today we are celebrating a new sneak peak! I am so in love with the new Hello Winter stamp set and I couldn’t wait to create with it. If you loved the Stamptember Pink and Main collab with Simon Says Stamp, then I know you will love this stamp set too! If you were able to snag that set, this one is the perfect companion, and if you weren’t able to get it then this will help fill that spot in your stash…. I’m not an enabler at all lol! These marshmallow snowpeople make me so happy and they are great for the holidays as well as the whole winter season.

I started out my card with a side folding A2 card base and a piece of Evening Clouds Card Stock that was trimmed down to 4 in x 5.25 in. I used the new Snow Day embossing folder dry emboss the purple cardstock and I added an extra piece of scrap cardstock so that my impression would be very clear. I glued that panel down to the card base with the EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue and got to work on a little scene.

I stamped down two of the little marshmallow people with the Asphalt Premium Ink and let it dry for a few minutes before coloring them in with Copic Markers. I added snowflakes to my scene by stamping off the snowflake images onto scrap paper first with the Lakeside Ink and then stamping onto the scene to get a softer color.  Instead of using the coordinating dies, I decided to cut out the whole little scene using on of the Wide Stitched Arches dies.

I wanted to create a very bold sentiment to go above it so I used the Hey Friend die in that same set to cut out two peices of scrap cardstock. I pressed the Watermark and Embossing Ink into one layer and covered it in the new WinterGreen embossing powder. I held it in place on a silicone mat with a metal pick/paper piercer while I melted the powder. The sparkle that this powder gives off is amazing! I stacked the plain card stock Hey Friend die cut underneath with liquid glue and set it aside. I decided that I wanted a smaller sentiment to go under my scene to balance everything out so I borrowed one from the Frosty Hello stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I glued everything down to the card with liquid glue and then realized that I wanted even more shine… because of course I did. So I grabbed a few of the cool toned white pearls from the Essential Pearls wheel and I added them to the center of each stamped snowflake.

I am so happy with how sweet this card turned out and I hope you are excited to see the new release!!
