Dark Unicorn

Hey there! Katie here, back again with some more unicorn fun. Today’s unicorn isn’t the rainbow type, this one likes to fly among the stars. now you know why I am calling it the dark unicorn, because it comes out at night.

Isn’t she pretty!? I think she is fabulous.

Here is how I made this: I started by stamping the image from the Unicorn Wishes Stamp Set. I colored it with my Copics (C7, C5, C3, C1, BG49, BG45, BG15, B05, B02, B01,Y15, Y13) then I cut it out using the corresponding Unicorn Wishes Die Set. I set this aside and used my Mini Ergonomic Blending Brush to make my background with Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I spritzed it with a little water and let it dry. Next, on that layer, I stamped some of the stars from the Batty For You Stamp Set with versamark ink and put glue in the center, then I used the Sparkling Chickadee Flocking Powder to the stars. I stamped the sentiment form the KSue Friendship 1 set and added few shooting stars. Next, I mounted the unicorn on the base with foam tape. Next, I used the black Fall Glitter Paper with the Cloudy Frames Die. this card is slightly smaller so I cut it down to fit. I used the EZ Tear Tape to mount it all on a white base.

The glitter paper and the flocking powder on this card are so fun. They give a fun tactile touch. I even added flocking powder to the unicorns’ butt. hehehe.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you like my dark unicorn. Visit us on FB and IG. Every day we have fun stuff!

~Katie
