Crystal Snow Card

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I’ve got a sweet card with a lovely sparkly background to share with you today.

The feature image on this card is the sweet mouse and tree from the Christmouse stamp set. I’ve stamped this in Memento Ink and coloured it with my Copic markers. The shading was very simple, and I’ve stuck to a limited colour palette. Once it was coloured, I cut it out with the matching die.

To make the background, I used the Dotty Stencil, and a palette knife to spread on my own homemade mix. I used Glitter Glitz from WOW, white embossing paste, and just a little Tumbled Glass distress ink which I smooshed onto my craft mat and mixed together. The result is a lightly sparkling light blue icy effect. I’ve taken photos from a couple of different angles to try and capture the sparkle on the card, but it’s tricky!

The sentiment comes from the same Christmouse stamp set, and I’ve heat embossed that with white embossing powder onto black card stock. I used the Stitched Rectangles 1 Die set to cut out my panel and mounted it onto a white card base.

This soft sweet card came together very quickly and was a joy to make. In fact, because of my inability to correctly guess quantities of my sparkle mix, I have two more backgrounds stencilled up and ready to go!

Until next time, may your days be sweet,

Blessings,

Donna
