Copic Coloring with Foilables

Hello crafty friends.

It’s Lisa Mears (@LisaMearsDesigns) on the blog today. I have been wanting to try out coloring on toner sheets for quite some time so today I will be using Copic markers to color up a Pink and Main Foilable Panel. As a bonus, I’ll use the negative piece of foil to create a second card!

Watch the Video:

For my first card, I used the Pink and Main Big Butterflies Foilable Panels and Pink and Main Gold Cheerfoil and ran it through my  Minc Machine.

I have never used Copic markers to color foilable panels and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Although the blending was not perfect because the texture of the paper was not ideal for alcohol coloring, I still think it turned out pretty good. The markers I used are as follows:

YR00, YR04, YR07, YR09 (orange)
V12, V15, V17 (purple)
RV02, RV04 (pink)
YG13, YG23 (green)

I used a sentiment from the Pink and Main Amazing Butterflies Foilables Cut Up’s and also foiled it with Gold Cheerfoil.

I added the butterfly to an embossed brick background I made using the Pink and Main Bricks Embossing Folder.

After foiling the butterfly from the first card, I used the negative foil pieces and sent them back through my Minc machine on top of a Pink and Main White Toner Sheet. This gave me a second butterfly to use on another card.

This is such a different, yet elegant look!

Don’t forget to hop over to YouTube to watch me make this card.
