Circle Spotlight Mermaid – Pink and Main Blog

The Pink & Main June release has hit the shop and the mermaids and layering stencils are my absolute FAVORITES and I just had to use them again!

I used the Circle Spotlights 1 Stencil and blended light purple ink into dark purple ink and then used the polka dot layer to add some Gold Glitz Glitter Gel accents and set the piece aside to dry. I stamped the cute mermaid popping out of the water and her tail from the Be a Mermaid Stamp Set and colored them with watercolors and cut them out with the coordinating Be a Mermaid Dies.

Once my stenciled piece was dry I used a die from the Layered Circles Die Set to trim it out. I wanted a bit of extra glam on my card so I die cut the Sunny Hello Dies from gold glitter cardstock from the Metallics Glitter Paper Pack and used just the outer sun border around my stenciled circle. I stamped a sentiment from the Be a Mermaid Stamp Set and added the sentiment and the images to the center.

I was going to add my focal piece onto a white card, but I saw the school of fish patterned paper in the Vitamin Sea Paper Pack and thought it fit PERFECTLY with the sentiment! I die cut it with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles 1 Die Set and added my focal piece on top to complete the card. Thanks for stopping by!
