Cherry Cupcake Full-Front Birthday Shaker

Happy weekend, friends!! I hope your Saturday is off to a great start!! Brenda here with a full-front shaker card featuring lots of goodies from yesterday’s 10 year anniversary celebration release!! Who doesn’t love a shaker card?!?

I started by stamping the Cherry Cupcake stamp set onto Ice Rink cardstock with Asphalt ink. I colored it with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

For the background, I foiled a panel from the Birthday Backgrounds Foilables with Sparkle Gold CheerFoil. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a panel of Dress Shop cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Layering Rectangles A2 Die Set. I adhered the bottom and two sides of a A2 Shaker Cover to the back of the panel, added Flamingo, Shamrock and Sunshine confetti into the opening at the top, then sealed the top shut.

The sentiment, from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set, was white heat embossed onto Asphalt cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the black one. The cupcake and sentiment were adhered to the front of the shaker with liquid glue and this card was finished.

Here’s another angle where you can see the foiled background a little better…

This cupcake is so much fun to color!! And the foiled background combined with the full-front shaker just screams “LET’S CELEBRATE”!!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Brenda
