Celebrating you

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with you. Sneak peek time here at the Pink and Main blog, and I have the pleasure of showcasing a gorgeous new sentiment set called Special Day. It is full of great messages and also has two bigger sentiments in beautiful handwriting to pair them with! Lovely!

I have started with stamping the cute mermaid from the Starfish wishes set, coloured her with Copic markers and cut her out with the coordinating die.

I also cut a stitched rectangle from the new Summer Splash paper pad, and a stitched circle from vellum. On the patterned paper I silver heat embossed the handwritten sentiment. I also die cut a small white banner with the Sentiment strip dies and stamped another sentiment on it with black ink.

When assembling the card, I first popped up the mermaid with 3D foam tape on the vellum circle. Then I added liquid glue drops on the back of the vellum under the mermaid, in this way the adhesive does not show through.

As a finishing touch I added a couple of clear sequins and covered the mermaid tale with Stickles for an ultimate sparkle. I also could not resist emphasizing the bow and little star on the starfish with glossy accents.
