Quick! Let’s go camping before the weather gets too cold!!! ( Or should that be too hot? – it depends where you live, I guess!) It’s Donna here from Donnaisplayingpaper and I have a really fun card to share with you today which combines two of the newest Pink and Main releases – Happy Place and Stitched Diamonds Dies.
To make this card, I first stamped the fun caravan and tree from the Happy Place Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured them with my Copic markers. I then cut them both out using the Happy Place dies that coordinate with the stamp set.
I used the Stitched Diamonds Dies to make my mountains, first making a piece of watercolour paper that had lots of autumnal greens and browns in it. Half the diamonds are hiding below the hill! I used a stitched hill border die that is now discontinued for the hill and my all time favourite Stitched Rectangles 2 die for the background green paper, and for the border on the sandy coloured paper.
I’ve taken a close up shot so you can see a few of the little details that I added to the scene. The sentiment has just a little ink blended around the outside so that it will stand out more. I’ve added a door to the caravan. By adding the darkest copic colour and blending it in, you can add details like this to any image.
I used Touch of Gloss as a last minute touch to add some dimension and shine to the door handle and the bunting. You can actually see this better in the picture above than the one below, because the angle reflects the light better.
The sentiment comes from the same Happy Place Stamp set. I stamped this in Versafine Onyx black ink and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun card and that you’re getting a chance to get out and enjoy some lovely weather. Until next time,
Blessings,
