Hello everyone! Justin here, and today I am sharing a creation using the adorable monkey from the Party Animal stamp set! As soon as I saw this set, I knew that this monkey was going to work so perfectly with the new Fun Balloons Die Set! I figured I could create a little semi-scene with the monkey floating up with the balloon die cuts!
I colored up my little monkey from the Party Animal set with Copic Markers, and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also used the Fun Balloons Die set, and cut them out in colors that coordinated with the colors used with my monkey, along with some black balloon strings. Using some dye ink, I distressed the edges of each the balloons to give them a nice shadow and highlight area. I also added some gel pen and Wink of Stella glitter accents to accentuate the highlighted area as well.
For my background, I took an A2 sized piece of blending cardstock and splattered it with some gold metallic watercolor accents. I also took a strip of paper from the Year Round Plaids Paper Pack, matted it with a slightly thicker strip, and adhered it to my white A2 panel. I adhered my Fun Balloon Die Cuts to my panel, and trimmed the parts of the balloon that went over the sides of the panel. I used some foam tape and adhered my monkey, along with a heat embossed sentiment, to my panel.
I finished my card off by adhering a few Gold Glossy Accent embellishments and my card was completed!
And there you have it! That’s how I created this adorable birthday card!
