Berry Cupcake Birthday

Hi everyone, Samantha here on the Pink and Main blog today sharing another fun Birthday Celebration card featuring the new Berry Cupcake stamp set.

To start my design I first chose my pattern paper from the Colorful Ink Spots 6×6 Paper Pad. This paper pad is so gorgeous and I knew the paper I selected would determine the color palette I would use for my cupcake card. Once I selected my paper, I then stamped my cupcake onto Copic Xpress-It paper in black ink before coloring with Copic markers. Next I grabbed the Berry Cupcake Dies to cut out the cupcake image for my design.

To ensure my cupcake would pop against the pattern paper, I chose a purple cardstock from my stash and die cut it out using the smaller die from the Zig Zag Rectangles Die set. I centered my cupcake onto the purple panel before gluing it down, and then adhered my panel to the pattern paper that I cut to an A2 size using my paper trimmer. The final panel was then added to a white A2 folding card-base before I went to add a sentiment.

One of my favorite items from the release was the Birthday Sentiments Foilables Cut-Ups. This set contained so many fantastic celebration-themed sentiments that could be foiled in any color. I chose the beautiful Caribbean Cheerfoil for my Happy Birthday message and ran the cut-up sentiment together with the foil, shiny side up, through my Mini Minc Foiling Machine. The last thing needed after attaching the sentiment with a little foam tape, was a few embellishments. I chose Seafoam Confetti Sequins to add in short rows along two sides.

My lovely birthday card is now complete and going into my stash to await a recipient!
