Bear Hugs By Joy Baldwin

Hey crafty friends, happy Monday. Hope you’re ready for some cuteness! These little bears from the Bear Hugs stamp set are so darling. I decided to put them in some picture frames for the card design and it turned out so adorable. I also added some texture to the background with a custom blend of texture paste and the Fun Lattice Layering Stencil. Hope you enjoy!

Like I mentioned, I created a custom blend of texture paste by mixing Cloud Whip and Soft Lavender Pops of Color together. I used the hearts from the Fun Lattice Layering Stencils with the texture paste, to give the background a soft textured look. I set that aside to dry.

I stamped the bears with black ink on white cardstock and then colored them with Copic Markers. The Bear was colored with W1,3,5,7 and R20, heart: R35,37,39, strawberry: Yg17,67, E59,29,49, T10. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also die cut the frames from the Square Frames die, I used the polaroid frame. I cut it three times from black cardstock and once from white cardstock. I adhered the black ones together for a thicker frame and used the white center piece. I adhered the cute bears to the white piece and trimmed of the excess, then adhered the frame to the outside with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment from the Bear Hugs stamp set with red ink and trimmed it out with my paper trimmer. I placed the photos on an angle over the stenciled background, then placed the sentiment with foam tape for dimension. I finished by adding some red hearts to the frames.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed this project.

Hugs,
