Beachy Birdhouse

Happy Tuesday! It has been lovely weather around my neighborhood! Last weekend my husband and I took the paddleboards out on the lake near us, it was lovely. We were fortunate enough to watch a Bald Eagle chasing an Osprey, trying to steal it’s dinner. It was pretty cool! In honor of that, I decided to post a beachy bird card.

This card is a 4.25 X 4.25 and was pretty quick and fun to make. First, I stamped the Birdhouse form the Home Tweet Home Stamp set. I colored it with Copics, using brown for the deck and bright greens, blues, orange and yellow. I added some white highlights with my white gel pen and cut it out with my Home Tweet Home Die Set. I set that aside and used some white cardstock and cut out the Rainbow Friend Die and discarded the middle portions. I cut out a circle to fit in the middle with the Layered Circle Dies then I used my Mini Ergo Blending Blush, distress inks and Circle Layers Stencil to recreate a beach like backdrop. I mounted the circle onto a 4X4 panel of Construction Cardstock, which was mounted on a white base with EZ Tear Tape. Then I used some of my Foam Sheets, cut in a slightly larger circle than the interior and used that to mount the white circles. Next, I added the image to the center with more foam tape. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in the upper left using my Asphalt Ink Pad.

It makes for a pretty fun card and a great way to honor the wildlife we saw while on our paddling trip. I really enjoyed making it with the fun bright colors.

I hope you like it too and thank you for visiting me today! Please visit IG, FB and YT for more inspiration then head to the shop to pick up some goodies.
