Autumn Greetings and Leafy Love

Hi friends, this is Caitlin and today I am sharing this really fun and inky autumn card. I really loved making this card and I want to use this technique to make a few more cards with different sentiments because it was truly enjoyable and pretty quick. I started out by stamping a bunch of the different elements from the Autumn Leaves stamp set with Asphalt Dye Ink. I stamped a few of the leaves more than once just to make sure that I had a lot of options when I was assembling my card.

Then I inked blended over my entire panel using Distress Inks (Aged Mahogany, Crackling Campfire, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive and Forest Moss). I added a second layer of each color after the whole first layer was applied to make sure that each color was visible and nothing got muted out. Then I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the stamped elements. I cute out the “Autumn Greetings” sentiment from the Autumn Greetings Sentiment Die Set with a white card stock shadow and Pebble Card Stock letters. I ink blended the white shadow layer with the same inks as my leaves and then glued the letters in with the EZ Squeeze Glue.

I trimmed down some more Pebble Card Stock to be a little smaller than an A2 sized card front at 5.25 in x 4 in and I trimmed a panel of Wildflowers Card Stock to 5.5 in x 4.25 in added them both to a side folding card base. Then I added my sentiment with foam tape in the center of the card and used the liquid glue to tuck the leaves around the sentiment, creating a fun framed feeling. The last step was to add a few of the dark Warm Jellies Gems for a little sparkle. I love how warm this card feels and that you can send this one out anytime between now and Thanksgiving.
