Hello crafty friends. It’s Donna here from donnaisplayingpaper and I have a sneak peek for you! Please excuse all the puns – The weather has taken a turn for the cooler, and I find myself deliriously happy!
Today’s card features a real cutie. The stamp is called Winter Birdhouse, and it will be here on September 16! Not long to wait now.
I have coloured the images with my coloured pencils today. Normally I’m a Copic colourer, but I love the look of pencils, and especially the way that I could use different browns to bring out the wood grain. I used grey blues for the snow. I think the bird is probably a cardinal, but mine is sweet and yellow!
The background paper was cut using the Stitched Rectangles 1 die (of course- I’m never without my stitched borders!) and I gently blended over the Blizzard Stencil with pale minty green to help the birdie feel at home in his scarf.
