Whether you prefer more sunlight in the evening hours or extended darkness in the mornings, fall will be on time – arriving Sept. 22. Though unlike the assured change of seasons, we might not be turning our clocks back an hour as part of fall traditions like football tailgating or apple picking.
Yes, indeed, we might lose that extra hour of sleep if we no longer “fall back” come Nov. 1. There’s legislation in the Senate (Sunshine Protection Act) that would end standard time and keep us permanently on daylight saving time year-round.
No matter that our clocks are up in the air, we can count on cooler weather, harvest hues, traditional fall outings, and Pink and Main fall stamps, dies, foils, papers and more to keep our creative energies refreshed and focused on fall and holiday themes.
Don’t you just love the golden, earth tones of fall? Shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green we can use to convey the season of change as we transition from summer to winter.
