Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans! Happy birthday month, Pink & Main!!
It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back with MORE beautiful P&M cards!!! Three to be exact🙃 **All supplies can be found at the end of this post!
Rainbow Shaker Card
I was soooooooo excited to see P&M‘s NEW release because it included shaker covers!!! And confetti and sequins– LOTS of new colors!!!!! To be honest, I have tried to create shaker cards for awhile but never could get a good shaker transparency or thickness- the transparencies always scratched easily and the cellophane from packages/product was too thin. These NEW shaker covers have been the answer to this problem because they come with a protective film on the transparency to protect it; they are just the right thickness; and they attach to my cardbases with just double sided tape or foam! I LOOOOOOOOOVE them! #SAVfact: I definitely was cheap when creating a shaker card prior to this release! Now I won’t use anything else!!
For my shaker card, I wanted to make a fun rainbow design using the NEW Stitched Circle Frame dies. LOOOOOOOVE!!
The one thing I wish I would have done differently for this card (you had to know I was going to point out my mistakes, right?!?! LOL!)… I wish I would have made the stenciled hearts in the background a bit darker– they are tone-on-tone white/cream. It’s pretty in person but you can’t see it well in the photos 🤦🏼♀️ That’s ok though because I’ve been learning to embrace the mistakes- LOL! #embracemistakes
TIP: you could use this card design for ANY occasion and ANY loved one by switching out the colors/confetti and sentiment!!!
2 Birthday Cards
I shared these cards for the IG hop —-> There’s STILL time to join in the fun and enter to win one of the prizes!!! Click HERE🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love these cards! They are very modern and yet whimsical and fun with bright colors and a great design! I am still learning to color, and I felt like these cupcakes should be colored… but with just a HINT of color! I’m still considering this part of my coloring journey and series Savannah Learns to Color 🖍️ even though there’s barely any coloring on these cards. LOL! I used the super fun water gems to color the fruit. And yes— I know that one berry is really purple… I originally wanted to make it a blueberry but realized halfway through that a blueberry is smooth and this berry had bumps🤦🏼♀️ YUP! Another mistake! But I embraced it and quickly added more color to make it look like a blackberry. Ok— another mistake because it’s more purple than blackberry! LOL! #embracingALLmistakes
And look closely— you will see the Tall Rainbow foilable panel as part of the background!! The trick here is that I left it “as is” because I didn’t foil it! I looooooooove it!
I hope my cards inspire you!!
I’ll be back with MORE to share soon! Please remember to share what you create using these techniques, if you are learning to color with me, or if you use this P&M stamp/die set so I can leave you some love ❤️
THANKS so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!!! Happy 10th birthday, Pink & Main!
