Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by! I’m always looking for a way to get more from my supplies to today I thought I’d mix things up a little! I took images like these sunflowers and hedgies from Sunny Side of Life that you might typically associate with fall and created a Valentine!
I thought I’d take you through my creative process. Whenever I receive a new stamp set I usually stamp it 6-8 times. I’ll color some of the images and leave some uncolored and cut them all. The next time I want to use the set I’ll have lots of the work done and make it easier for me to start making.
Next I arrange the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. This time it’s an A2 4.25 x 5.5″. When I’m happy with the placement it’s time to decide on a background. The clear plastic sheet makes it easy to slide different color choices and types of backgrounds underneath to help me determine which I like best!
I like layers so I cut the Distress Ink blended panel with a Stitched Rectangle. I added a solid red cardstock matt under that, and adhered both to a white card base.
Switching up the colors to reds and pinks and adding hearts and a “love” sentiment from the Crafty Pals stamp set transform these images so that they’re perfect for Valentines or any other time you want to spread a little love.
Get more from your supplies by reimagining them for different occasions! I think you’ll be surprised with how versatile they really are!
Love this idea and high five for focusing on getting more value from our stash. Beautiful!
