Hello friends – Bri here! I am back today to share a no-coloring card design featuring the Turtley Amazing set from Pink and Main. This stamp and die bundle is currently on sale so check it out here! Keep reading below for more details on how I made this bubbly project.
I decided to make this a no-coloring card by just stamping the turtle images onto lime green cardstock with pigment black ink. Next, I heat embossed the stamped images with clear embossing powder so I could distress the edges of the turtle shapes with Cracked Pistachio ink. Since the turtle images are very simple in color I decided to make the background more complex.
First I ink blended the A2 panel with Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink. I used the water-oxidizing effect to add a little texture to the background. Once it was dry, I used the Warped Stencil with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink to create a bubbly overlay. I love that this background looks like an underwater current that the turtles can swim through. For some extra fun I added white splatter paint to the background to look like bubbles!
The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder onto a light blue Scalloped Oval die cut that is distressed on the edges with Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I layered the sentiment with a vellum Scalloped Oval die cut to create additional separation from the sentiment and the card background. Finally, I added Crystal Clear Enamel Dots for an extra touch of bubble embellishments.
