Take Flight

Hey there, Katie here with a sneak peek for the upcoming release. 😀

Do you ever find yourself not able to chose which product you want to use? Well that happened to me with this card, I couldn’t pick from some of the new products, so I combined about 4 of them! LOL. I hope that you like it.

For this card, I started with a piece of white cardstock (4X5.25) and used the soon to be released butterfly stencil. This stencil comes to with two parts, the outline and the details, and three types of butterflies. Using my Mini Ergo Blending Brush, I stenciled each of the backgrounds and then added the detail. Distress Oxide colors used were, Old Paper, Twisted Citron, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint. Next, I pulled out the stamps from a set called Wildflowers, I used my misti to stamp them in black, interspersing them among the butterflies. Then I dusted the blue butterfly with the Magic Anti-Static Brush and stamped the sentiment from the Floral Wings Set using the my Embossing Pad and heat embossed it with my Licorice Embossing Powder. I distressed the edges and mounted this on some cantaloupe colored cardstock.

I wanted to add some dimension to the card, so I then I used a new butterfly trio stamp set, stamping and die cutting two of the images. I then colored them with Copics (YG23, YG03, R24, R22, RV42, BG01, BG13). I used my bone folder to curl the wings out a little. Then, I used a bit of my EZ Squeeze glue to the wings and thorax and then added some Ice Rink Glitter to give it a little sparkle. When they were finished, I mounted them using foam tape.

Now do you see why I couldn’t pick just one product?! Too many fab ones to chose from!

I do hope you like it and it makes you feel inspired! For more inspiration, please visit FB, IG, and YT and then hit up the shop.

Thank you so much for visiting today! ~Katie
