Good morning and happy Wednesday (hump day)! It’s Laurie with you this morning to share a rather simple card. I went through my stash of older P&M products to find something that hasn’t seen much love lately. And I stumbled upon the Summer Wreath Decor Dies.
There is a whole line of these “decor” dies that co-ordinate with the beautiful Wreath Base Dies. All the seasons are covered! Let’s take a look at what I’ve made for you today!
This is a 4X4 card. I love square cards, especially small ones like this! Like everyone, I have a scrap bin of cardstock that I need to use so that’s what I did with these die cuts. I created a kind of mini scene which doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense yet seems to fit together.
The background paper is from the Summer Splash Paper Pad. Unfortunately, this paper is no longer available but really, any patterned paper would work! Tip: if you’d like to tone down the intensity of the pattern, simply add a “whitewash” using gesso or thinned out, white acrylic paint!!
I foam mounted my little scene to the patterned paper then adhered everything together. The sentiment comes from the Summer Sloths Stamp Set and was die cut using one of the Sentiment Strip Dies.
I know the “lazy days of summer” are pretty much over and that makes me sad. But I do love fall so maybe my next card can use the Fall Wreath Decor Dies!
