Butterfly wishes

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here again with a fun technique which allows you to turn your stamped images into real embellishments.

I used the You can fly stamp set for this technique because it has an outline stamp and a solid one, but it can work without the solid piece too, I will tell you how. First I white heat embossed the outline butterfly on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I made 2 butterflies as I wanted to try two inking techniques.

On one I just scribbled Tombow markers and washed away the colours with a wet baby wipe. So easy and vibrant colours!

On the second one I used Distress Oxide inks with a blending brush: this inking method gave much smoother and softer tones. Both are beautiful don’t you think?

When it was dry I stamped the solid image over the coloured one with clear embossing ink and covered it with clear embossing powder. I repeated the process with an iridescent glittery powder too to get more sparkle. If you use a stamp which does not have a solid pair, you can simply use your embossing ink pad directly on the paper. I cut the butterflies with their coordinaing die.

To make my butterflies pop, I simply die cut stitched rectangles from woodgrain cardstock and matted them with an aqua one. I popped up the butterflies with 3D foam squares and added a heat embossed sentiment from the Special day stamp set which I cut with the Sentiment strip dies.

I hope you enjoyed this fun technique and will give it a try. See you soon with more ideas!

Hugs,

Zsofi
