A Sparkly Snowflake

Hey peeps. It’s Dana here with you today. Oh boy I have fallen in love with the Ice Rink Glitter paper and I knew I had to make snowflakes out of it. I mean who doesn’t want a little bit of sparkle during the holidays? Let’s get started.

For my card I started off by running a few snowflakes from the Bold Snowflakes dies through my die cutting machine with Ice Rink glitter card stock. I used the largest and the smallest dies from the set to create this card. Once I had a few of each cut out I moved onto the background.

I wanted to keep my card really soft so I cut down a piece of Ice Rink card stock and lightly sponged spun sugar distress oxide ink onto it. I kept the blend very soft to not distract from my snowflakes. Once that was complete I placed on the sparkly snowflakes in a random pattern around the paper making sure to let some of the snowflakes go off the card panel. Once they were glued into place I took a pair of scissors and trimmed off the excess. I glued this snowflake panel onto some fog card stock and adhered everything to a white card base.

For just a wee bit more sparkle I glued on silver and pink gems around the middle snowflake. For my sentiment I heat embossed holiday cheer from the Holly Jolly stamp set onto fog card stock and trimmed it down to a banner. I adhered the sentiment with foam tape onto the middle of the card.

Here is a quick closeup of the card. Look how pretty it is. I really wish I could capture the sparkle of these snowflakes. They are truly so lovely on this card. Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back here soon.
