80’s Inspired Card

Good afternoon and welcome!! It’s Laurie with you to share a super fun, super rad card! I am a child of the 80’s so the new My Jam Stamp set and co-ordinating dies are right up my alley!

This set has the coolest, line art images. But it also has solid stamps in totally rad shapes:). I decided to use the cassette tape for the focal image but ended up loving all the die cut shapes just as much!

I used a colour palette of red, orange, blue and grey/black. Fairly retro colours, I think. I should mention that the die set has all the dies to cut the shapes as well..bonus!!

I trimmed down a panel of white cardstock to approximately 3.5 X 5.5 inches. Before foam mounting all my images onto this panel, I used the new Warped Stencil with some grey ink and the Ergonomic Blending Brush. This stencil works perfectly with this theme. I stamped the sentiment, which is from the same set, in black ink.

I foam mounted everything!! I matted the focal panel onto some grey cardstock then adhered that to a white card base. As an afterthought, I added the “mixed tape #1” with a black pen. Because this cassette totally needed a name!

I added some glitter pen to the shapes and some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the centre of the tape.

Thanks so much for stopping, See you soon and have a TOTALLY AWESOME day!!

Laurie
