Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans!
It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back to share two cards using some of the NEW P&M goodies!!
Classic Mother’s Day Card
The first card I created is a very simple and yet stunning Mother’s Day card. Here’s how I made it:
- Cut Asphalt cardstock to size and adhere to base
- Die cut another Asphalt cardstock piece using the Plaid Cover die Panel B and adhere to cardbase
- Die cut butterfly images from gold and vellum paper and adhere to cardbase
- Emboss sentiment, cut strip to cardbase size, attach gold thread behind strip, and glue to cardbase
- Glue several Gypsy Confetti pieces around sentiment and butterflies on card
SUPER easy!!! This card could be mass produced too— very simple to recreate! **BONUS— if you switch out the sentiment and cardstock color, you can use this card design for just about ANY occasion! I love a multipurpose card design that is easily mass produced!!
Greatest Gift card
My second card has a softer feel that has MORE detail, but the details are subtle 🙂
I used the P&M Ink Pad Bundle for my watercolor look. I know that these inks were not intended for watercoloring, and I should have used the Water Gems… but I wanted to do something different! And I looooooooooove the look! I combined both The Lakeside and The Park inks to create that beautiful, bright green color for some of the leaves.
The details can be seen in the layering of the embossed large flower, little butterfly die cuts, and the dry embossed brick background. This combo of colors, layers, and P&M products made this card HARD to give away because it’s so pretty… but I guess that’s why I create cards— to give them away🙃
I love love love both of these cards!
