Watercolor Igloo Background

Hello, there! It’s Lynnea and I have a wintery card for you today!

I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock and used Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp the igloo image from the Eskimo Kisses stamp set all over my panel. I used clear embossing powder to give it some shine. I mixed up some light and wintery colors of watercolor from my Gansai Tambi watercolors and colored in all the igloos. I used some silver shimmer watercolor for the snow on the tops of the igloos.

While my background panel dried I stamped the little Eskimos and watercolored them as well. I knew I HAD to use the “baby, it’s cold outside” sentiment because it’s one of my FAVORITE Christmas songs! I was singing the whole time I made this card! Haha! I stamped it onto white cardstock and trimmed the ends to banner edges. I colored the cardstock with an N2 Copic marker. I also die cut a separate piece of cardstock using the Stitched Top Note dies. I didn’t think there was enough definition, so I used an N2 Copic marker to add some color to the outside edge of the die. I adhered everything together and I was done!

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
