Warm (Hedge)hugs

Hello, friends!  It’s Andrea with you sharing a winter card featuring one of the adorable hedgehogs from Fall Friends.  I love being able to extend the use of my supplies beyond the season/occasion they’re designed for (and I’m not ready to stop playing with those awesome fall stamps!).

Doesn’t this hedgehog look so cozy with his warm cup of coffee (or cocoa or tea, if you prefer)?  I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics.  I used the coordinating dies to cut him out.

I just love plaid, and this one from the Frosty Paper Pad is so soft and inviting.  I die-cut it with the Stitched Rectangles Set I Dies and adhered it to a white card.  I die-cut the snowflake paper from Frosty with the Stitched Circles Dies and popped it up with foam tape.

My sentiment was created with the Hugs Needed stamp set and the Hugs Dies.  I die-cut “hugs” from another Frosty paper and the outline from vellum and layered the two onto my circle.  With Night Sky Ink, I stamped a sentiment from Hugs Needed.  To achieve a lighter shade, I inked up my stamp, stamped onto a scratch piece of paper, and then stamped onto a strip of white cardstock.  I adhered the strip and that cute hedgie with foam tape.  To finish the card, I die-cut some snowflakes from silver glitter paper with the Winter Wreath Decor Dies and added purple gems to their centers.

Thanks for stopping by!

So cute! The hedgehog is adorable all bundled up in his scarf and sweater! Love the patterned papers you used throughout your card.
