Masculine birthday card

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with you. I don’t know how it is with you but i always struggle with masculine cards. I was jumping from joy when i first saw the new Timber stamp/die set as it is a perfect solution for my problem. I paired it with the new Herringbone stencil and created a clean and simple birthday card.

I started with laying the stencil over a heavy weight white note card and applied white texture paste over it with a spatula. I made sure to wash my stencil right away in warm water. I use a scrub usually to help remove the residues of the paste.

Until the card base was drying, I stamped and coloured the images with alcohol markers an used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also die cut 4 small stitched squares from dark brown cardstock and one larger one to fit the smaller ones on it, from lime green cardstock. I arranged the die cut images on the small squares and mounted them with 3D foam squares for more dimension.

Then i stamped the sentiment from the Timber stamp set on a thin strip of kraft cardstock with brown ink. I also adhered this piece to the focal panel with 3D foam squares.

As a finishing touch i used a bit of glossy accent here and there to emphasize some elements of the coloured images and make them shine.

I hope you like my card today and got inspired. If you make any masculine card, don’t forget to show us in our FB group. Until next time, happy crafting!
