Hello Everyone,
It is Zsofia here with a little sneak peek at the upcoming March Release. I can tell you, it is a festive one! On my card today I feature the Party Balloons stamp set and the Birthday Script dies.
I stared with a piece of heavy weight white cardstock and applied Distress inks at a diagonal: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Blueprint sketch. When I was happy with the blending, I spritzed it with a clear shimmer spritz for a subtle sparkle. I die cut the panel with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle 2 die set and arranged the bold balloons on the distressed background.
Using the rock’n roll stamping technique I added 2 shades of the already used distress inks on each balloon for an ombre effect. Distress inks are not meant for stamping so i repeated the process a few times for a darker and smoother result. I used my heat tool to completely dry the background as I wanted to silver heat emboss the patterns on each balloon.
The next step is the sentiment: I die cut the Happy Birthday script from silver sparkle and black cardstock and layered them on top of each other tiny offset. I adhered the words on the stamped panel and embellished it with silver glossy dots.
I wanted a bit more black as a frame so I used a black and white chevron patterned paper from the Spring Color Pop pad.
