Celebrating a Birthday!

We are celebrating a birthday today… Paper Sweeties is turning 3! Birthday celebrations are so much fun and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate with my friends at Paper Sweeties. Debbie, the owner, and I became friends after meeting at some local stamp shows; and have bonded over our love of cute stamps and everything pink! I hope you will enjoy celebrating with all of us and check out all the blog posts, where there is sure to be some inspiring creations and some fun prizes too!

For my project, I made a fun shaker card. This was my first attempt at a shaker card and I think I am hooked… I can’t wait to try another one!

For my card, I used the ‘Birthday Wishes‘ stamp set from Pink and Main, the ‘Sending Sweet Thoughts‘ stamp set from Paper Sweeties, and some super cute flower sequins called ‘Cupcake Sprinkles‘ (appropriately named) from Paper Sweeties. I paper-pieced the lower part of the cupcake and added some Wink of Stella sparkle to the top of it (sorry it is hard to see the shine in the photo). I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the shaker card for some added interest. I hope you like the card and that it inspires you to try some shaker cards too… now get to shakin’!

I also have a fun prize to give away, so be sure to comment on this post! I will choose a random comment to win the 2 stamp sets and pack of sequins I used for my card…

What a amazing talent you have. I found you by accident via a you tube video that showcased you stamps at a scrapbook expo. I am so excited.

Its been just over a year since I saw some of your products in a magazine. I am picky over what I buy and can remember thinking I would buy those stamps! However, we no longer have any scrapbooking stores in Toledo, just big box ones. They are very behind on what they carry. This means no Pink & Main. I started linking to the Facebok pages of companies so if/when I Iook online, I know where to look! Pink & Main is one!
