Boy oh boy

Hello, Crafty Friends!! DT Mitsy here with a  couple “boy” cards for ya! Usually, I love to make girly cards. I love making frilly, sparkly, and most of all PINK cards. But let’s face it not every occasion is going to call for a bling’d out princess ballerina card… though, darn it, I say it  it ought to! Too bad this isn’t one of those times!

Instead, I made two cards using one of my favorite boy color combos… blue, green, and yellow!! I love these colors because they are cheerful and calming  both at the same time.

For this first cccard I used Pink and Main’s Sweet Dreams Baby, Sweet Dreams Baby Dies, Stitched Greetings, and Stitched Greetings Dies.

I used a black dye based ink pad then used water color pencils to color in the main image. I used chalk ink to shade the background, shade the clouds, and shade the edges of the scalloped frame. Then raised my image and clouds, and bannerwith foam adhesive. I accented the moon’s sleeping cap by coloring it’s rim and pom-pom with a 2way glue pen and then covering those areas with iridescent glitter.

This next card, I used Pink and Main’s Birthday Boy stamp set.

also stamped with a dye based ink but then instead of water color, I  colored this image with alcohol ink markers.  I colored an extra balloon and layered it over the other to give it more dimension.

I also used a white gel pen on both cards to give image highlights and a black super fine tipped pen to add eyelashes and a mouth (for the one below).

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards!!

Until next time…

Happy Crafting, Friends!!
