Hi,
no card for today. Today we will be stamping on T-shirt. When my son Toby (7 years old) saw Zombies stamp set he wanted to have T-shirt with all images, of course no zombie girl, in his age are girls boring, you understand 🙂
So we took older white T-shirt and special ink (ink pad) for fabric (I do not know which brand you have in USA, I use Aladine inks which are made in France and they are really great for stamping) Â and we stamped some images, randomly. Toby helped me. One trick for stamping on fabric is: give under fabric up side down big cling stamp (any background stamp), soft cling material is great for stamping, it makes something like mini table and you will be sure, that your stamping will be perfect. Of course fabric has got some structure and stamped image will not be as sharp as on paper, no problem.
Than I took Marabu fabric paints and I coloured zombie boy, I love to use 3D fabric paints. After you colour your fabric, let it at least 12 hours set and than over baking paper iron it and during ironing paint starts to grow and make 3D effect, something like fluffy paints for paper.
I also used glowing in the dark paint for face and for all brains, unfortunately I could not to take photo of glowing zombie, it was always so dark that my camera did not catch image. I also used metallic paint and one with glitters, just to make T-shirt more interesting.
When you paint image and set it with ironing, Â you need to take some fabric pen and highlight lines of image because fabric paint can hide some of them.
And that is all, you have original hand made T-shirt. I draw more scarves on T-shirt just to make it more funny and more zombie like.
I hope you like my tutorial and do not hesitate to share with us you projects! We love to see them all.
